Signature Arabic

DYF

My signature look inspired by the Dress your face by Tamanna Roashan.

Most of my looks you’ll see are arabic inspired. I love the middle eastern art of makeup. Indian film industry “Bollywood” is highly inspired by this style of makeup. Indian bridal makeup is also influenced by this style of makeup. Intense use of pigments, high contour, use of shimmer/ glitter, 2 to 3 toned smokey eyes, strong liner and eyebrows are the key elements to identify this style of make up.

Stay tuned for more posts coming up of my signature style.

Glamour Insight/ Product review

classy

When my hubby is away, i play..with colors !

Here’s a look i did last night using my recent new purchases and my top fav’ ones. This is a look with a very clean balance of contour and light and it has been created using different shades of pink.

In this post i will only highlight the ones i’d like to put review about.

Here’s what i used for creating this look along with the product review

BASE

I used my MAC Studio fix foundation with SPF 15 in shade NC35. Since i don’t need a very heavy coverage, this foundation is perfect for providing me a medium coverage. MAC foundations are the ones i can always fall back on. They match my skin tone perfectly and provide a very even coverage.

On the high points of my face, i mixed it with Uplight Luminizer #21 from MAKEUP FOREVER. It is a liquid format illuminating gel formula which provides a very natural  pearly sheen on the face. This product is more suitable for an evening make-up or a high definition makeup than for the day. Just be careful using the pump as it can dispense extra e quantity than actually required. I used this particularly on my cheek bones, nose bridge, forehead, chin and cupid’s bow. Take a look at the picture to see the magical effect.

Derma Color D5  from Kryolan is what i have an addiction to since many many years when it comes to contouring or camouflaging. I can provide fantastic coverage and is super blend-able. It stays on for almost 10 -12 hours. It does not clog pores or cause allergic reactions. Derma Color range has many shades which can be used for concealing too.

Lastly, i used Beauty blender to blend and get the perfect coverage.

EYES

Post using a concealer on my eye lids i used the Kryolan Bridal B2 palette in the crease. In the center of the eye lids i layered the L’oreal paris infallible eyeshadow in Gold imperial. This is my new favourite product. It’s a cream base eyeshadow which comes in a little pot. It has shimmer, glitter, High-shine, pigmented eye shadow. It is perfect for a day wear as a clear wash on the eyes. For the day I mostly use it with my finger and rub it on the lid. For an evening look like this one, to get that stronger effect of gold, i layered it with Goldmine eyeshadow from MAC. To top it up, i used Inglot Body sparkle in gold. On the brow bone i used a neutral eye shadow from The Body Shop for a matte finish.

To define my eyes further i used Maybelline’s Master precise liquid eyeliner in Black/Noir. This is one eye liner with a very cool grip, a sharp felt tip brush and fast dry black liquid. It is smudge resistant, so a great product during sweaty season.

On the water line i used MAC smolder and smudged it with a soft blender brush. This added the smokey effect as well as a sharp definition to my lower lash line.

For the lashes i used Bourjois Volume Glamour max mascara. It has a big brush and that helps to lift up the product from the jar. The bristles are nicely shaped in a way that helps to instantly add volume on the lashes as well as define them without clumping. To get a spider lash effect, simply add another coat on top.

To define the brows i used MAC eyebrow pencil. I don’t remember the shade name as it has faded from the product. But i can tell u that it is a super soft & smooth gliding brow pencil. It comes is various shades and stays on for really long. The best part is it doesn’t chip off like most other eyebrow pencils.

CHEEKS & FACE

I used MAC products from the mineralize Skin finish Natural powder range for fixing the foundation base. This range has a velvety smooth texture and matte finish. I used the highlighter with slight shimmer to highlight the high points where i used the Uplight gel.

The Blush is Fleur power which is barely visible as i blended it with my contour powder to get a pink bronzed finish to my cheeks.

LIPS

I used a MAC Lip liner Magenta and Inglot 3D Lip gloss.

Here’s a picture of the products that i mentioned about in the description. Hope this was informative and you enjoyed it.

Product Review and Glam look

Blue is the color of the season. And now i have almost 10 different shades of blue in my palette. It’s so hard to stop buying more blue.

This one you see out here is one of my favourites, it’s $Inglot Pearl 415. This blue has a a very soft shimmer with a pearl like shine. It is super blendable and yet impactful. There is minimalist fallout once applied, however when you’re lifting the product from your palette, try not to rub the brush too much in order to avoid wastage. Another trick to usually avoid fall outs is to gently spray the eyeshadow brush with a face mist and semi-dry it prior to lifting the eye shadow from the palette. This way you’ll have the optimum amount of eye shadow you need and don’t need to reapply.

For highlighting i used $Makeup forever D 522. OMG!! This Diamond sheen, buttery smooth, glittery, blendable eye shadow from the Makeup Forever’s Artist Shadows range is one top favorite in my palette. If you’re planning to walk the red carpet you can’t miss this piece of jewel. The best trick with this one can be umm..fuse it across your décolleté using a wet stippling brush !

And then $Sephora waterproof SIlver 02 jumbo stick. I used it on my waterline and under the winged liner. It’s a pretty pencil liner though i’m not very happy with it. The reason is it’s too creamy and it keeps breaking and melting, but nevertheless once applied correctly it gives good results.

Ouch! The pretty lashes from $Bourjois in Urban Chic. Quite full, easy to apply and worth the pay. I have used these lashes for over 4 looks now and they’re still in perfect condition. Just make sure to clean up the glue immediately after your remove your fake lashes with a gentle make-up remover.

Lastly, my gorgeous new purchase from WOW by Wojooh. This sexy Lupstick is called Zanzibar Coral 540. It’s easy to glide on the lips, it wont leave your lips dry and is smudge resistant. Perfect neon for the season.

Hope you liked the look and this post was helpful.

Amrapali Goddess

imageI

I call her Amrapali goddess.

Amrapali, a truely dedicated disciple of Lord Buddha who was a famous courtesan and a devotee of Buddha. Slhe was a very beautiful and a charming lady.

This look is created wearing the brand #amrapali jewellary necklace as my headgear.

For my makeup look i used:

#Makeupforever Uplight. It is a primer plus pearly finish highlighter. I mixed it with my foundation and used all over my face.#

On eyes i used #Illamasqua pure pigment. Liner art is done. Using #maybelline liner.

#lipstick is my most favourite one. I’m addicted to it. This one is So chaud by #mac.

i hope you like the look. More pictures of this look on instagram and facebook page: Highonbeautee.
