RETRO DIVA

I consider the glamorous divas of the 1950s as my biggest inspiration. The fashion era was all about thick eyebrows, black liner, dramatic lashes and the sexy red lips.

So, this look is a bit of a contemporary version.

I used colors which enhance my natural eye color ( correct! No lenses :)) and softly blended into the eye socket.
Took a wet brush dipped into a white pigment and blended across the inner socket of the eye. Well, that’s why you see it highlighted. It makes my eyes look proportionately bigger & popped up.
My favorite part is the vintage eye liner. I used a black gel liner on the upper & the lower lash line. And then just smoked the lower lash line blending into the corners.
I used a brow powder to shape my eye brows. Din’t need much of the product. Indian genes are blessed with thick hair. :p
Next i contoured my cheeks with a bronzer and highlighted the cheek bones.
When it comes to lips, Always.. Always..Always line your lips first ! Spread the lip liner all over your lips and then layer it with a lipstick. To get those sharp edges i used a slant brush and cleaned up along the corrected lip line.
And with that center sectioned hairstyle tied into a chic bun you’ll just “wow” the crowd.
